I hate it went you you only think about your own trouble your in. The thing in the is world you worry about and feel captivated by. It seems to consumes you and the whole time you are concentrating on the very thing that's putting you down. Yesterday in Joe's place youth center I was challenge to look around and see the troubles in others. A youth died from a car crash and there was sorrow in the mist of the other youths. They have know this youth very swell and there was grieving. All this made me realized how self centered I am, but also the need for Christ to respond out of your self for others. Yes there is pain I felt inside and it not for the youth rather my own. But a verse reminded me to go beyond:
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.
2 cor 1:3-7
I can stand up again and be reminded of a God who does awesome things in the hearts broken and willing to sanctified by him. It not easy and it hurts a lot but worth it. For the youth that died there was time for grieving but also there was a time for celebration. funny eh? Christ calls us to celebrate out of his death into marvelous light. It was great time for the youth to let go of the sorrow and take in the importance of life and God. In no way I am saying the youth who died is like Christ but it was God's grace to show youth about how precious life is and a need for something to be fulfilled, Christ.
