(v14, NIV)
Paul is suffering. In addition, he has been graced with the task of preaching to the Gentiles. As a result, he needs to submit himself to God and ask for help. We need God's help. Paul needs help to endure through suffering. He also needs help to perform the task given to him from God. In order to live for God and walk the path he lays for us, we need his help. Therefore, we must bow before the father as Paul does and submit ourselves to him and him alone.
