If you recall from earlier in this book, it is a joy to meet trials of various kinds. It is not only a joy to meet these trials, but the one who endures is blessed. These people who remain steadfast will receive the crown of life. We know this because God has promised it to those who love him. It seems that those who remain steadfast are those who love God. This is another encouragement to remain steadfast, knowing the crown that we will receive and trusting in what God has said.
It may happen to some that they blame God. Perhaps they are being tested and they point the finger at God, blaming him for bringing this temptation upon him. This is wrong, because God doesn't tempt anyone. He cannot be tempted with evil and does not tempt anyone. The fact of the matter is that those who are tempted are enticed by their own desires. It's not God, but your own desires that are to blame. So if you're going to point the finger, know what is really to blame.
