James 1:1

I’ve been reading a lot of Paul for the past long while, so it might be a good change to read something other than Paul. James is also in the New Testament and a letter, so this letter shares some similarities with Paul's letters. However, some may think that it is in some ways at odds with the things Paul talks about. The "greetings" of this letter is not particularly special or different. It is from James and he describes himself as a servant of God. It seems fairly open ended, as he is addressing the twelve tribes all over the world. It's not like Paul's letters which are addressed to a specific church or person.
