The psalmist prays for mercy, humbly confessing and lamenting his sins after David had sinned against God from commits adultery with Bathsheba, wife of Uriah.
I wonder how would God feel about the David's psalms, and this also reflect that how would God feel about our prayer to Him after we have sinned.
The bible tells us that God loves us, because God is love. We are saved regardless what we do. In fact, it is not about what we do, but about who He is. After the death of Jesus, and we are now saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. But is that really regardless what we do? Even we kills, or commits in adultery?!
The truth is yes. Our God is something that out of our description. His love to us is so great that can overcomes sin. His love to us is unconditional, basically because we are His child, and He loves us.
This is hard to understand, God, but thanks for your love. Please don't leave me. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit. I know my sins have been washed away, and please transform me and cleans me. I love you. Help me and protect me from anything that will distracted me from you. Life is all about you. With you, we will have direction.
