Titus 3:3-4

This somewhat reminds me of Ephesians 2. In Ephesians 2, Paul begins to talk about how we were dead in our trespasses and sins. However, that whole tone is changed by the words "but God". Here in Titus 3, the word "but" is used with reference to the goodness and loving kindness of God appearing. Even though we were slaves to various passions, the goodness of God appeared. This is good news to hear about God who is our savior.
