Titus 1:7-9
Overseers must similarly be above reproach. The requirements for an overseer seem less focused on things relating to having a family compared to that of an elder. There are a lot of solid character traits that he must have, such as being a lover of good and self-controlled. What's also mentioned is holding firm to a trustworthy word that is taught. An overseer must not be unwavering when it comes to the word, which is truth. This is important for when he is to teach and rebuke others, which must be done on an unwavering foundation of the word.
