Psalms 51:17b

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;

a broken and contrite heart

you, God, will not despise.

(v17, NIV)

This is the sacrifice that God will not despise. You can know and be sure that if you offer to him a broken and contrite heart, God will not turn it away or dislike it. It is something God will want and enjoy. With Christmas coming, I often think of getting the right presents for people. You don't want to get someone something that they wont want or like. Fortunately, God will certainly like a broken spirit if you offer it to him. Bring that to him and continue to bring that to him
