Romans 3:18

"There is no fear of God before their eyes."

(v18, NIV)

So Paul continues his case. We are all unrighteous as we are all under sin. This also affects what we say and what we do. Nothing good comes out of any of this. According to what we do and what we know, it seems to follow that we do not know peace. In addition, not knowing peace and being unrighteous, it also seems to follow that there is no fear of God in us. If we did fear God then we would seek after him and not be swift to shed blood. This is what it means to be under sin. All in all, it's not a good thing and we are simply hopeless.
