James 4:1

People tend to get into fights, and James brings up this very issue. Earlier, he noted how some people tend to accuse God of tempting them, but God does not tempt, nor is he tempted by anything. Now, some people may blame another person for getting them upset and causing them to fight with one another. James turns it around again, pointing not outside, but inside of a person for the source of the problem. More specifically, the cause is because there are passions at war within you. Conflicting desires wage war within a person, opposing each other, and this is the reason for these fights.
