James 2:1
We are not to show favoritism as believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. This does in fact make sense when you think about how you were chosen or saved. Even if you are or were wealthy, the revelation of being saved would have you know that before you were saved you were dead in your trespasses and sins. Each and every person is one who is undeserving of being saved, yet because of his great love with which he loved us, God saved you. How can you then show favoritism to others? How then can you imply by your actions that certain people don't deserve kindness like the great kindness that God has miraculously shown to you? However, James takes this favoritism on a different path.
