Well, what is the problem here? We look at the situation of the world and see where Paul is going with the text here, but where did it come from? What is the root of the problem? It seems that Paul points to the fact that we don't want God. We exchange his glory for something else because we don't want God. So we look at all this immorality and we recognize that we deserve God's judgment. However, Paul takes it a step further. Our immorality is a judgment. Though we do deserve judgment for our sins, our immorality and depravity of our minds is a judgment upon us. God gives us over to a depraved mind and this is a judgment in it of itself.
