James 5:10-11
Perhaps people wish to complain because they are suffering. James instructs them not to complain, but it doesn't mean that the suffering will cease. With regards to suffering and patience, James directs the attention of his readers towards the prophets. It's not as if the prophets had it easy; they had their fair share of troubles. One example in particular is that of Job. Job certainly endured a lot, and we know from the story of Job about his steadfastness. Those who remain steadfast are considered blessed. Through Job and the prophets, we see God working and how he works even in the midst of trials. We should continue to remain patient for the coming of the Lord even while we are experiencing difficult tribulations.
