Ephesians 5:32-33

This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church. However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Marriage is a mysterious thing.  The way in which two people become on in marriage is a mystery, as Paul tells us.  This mystery doesn't just end with marriage and two becoming one.  Instead, this mystery further illustrates another picture, which is Christ and the Church.  As two join in marriage, so Christ and the church are also joined.  I guess it's quite interesting to be a part of something that further illustrates something greater.  It is a mystery, but it is also great.  To sum up, Husbands are to love their wives as he loves himself and wives are to respect their husbands.
