2 Timothy 1:9d
We read about what God did by sending his son, Jesus Christ, down onto this earth to save us. That happened about 2000 years ago, but what does Paul mean here by saying that God did this before the ages began? God is certainly capable of that, but how does that make sense in light of what happened? Well, as confusing as that is, Paul explains that it is now manifested through the appearing of our savior, Jesus Christ. That great saving work may have only appeared at a certain time, but perhaps what Paul means is that it was active or planned way back since the beginning.
