2 Timothy 2:11

Paul now presents some sayings to Timothy with regards to this matter. The first is about death and life. If we have died with him, we will also live with him. This is just like what Paul writes about in Romans 6. Paul is encouraging Timothy with these words and sayings. Those who are followers of Jesus Christ are those who have died with Christ in a sense. Fortunately, that's not the end of the story. There is a promise and hope that brings encouragement that says that we will live with him.
